HOW DOES THE NORTH ROUTE LOOK LIKE?
The North Route begins in Muscat, the capital of Oman. From there, travelers journey through the Wahiba Sands, making their way to the Canvas Club Camp, and continue deeper into the stunning mountain ranges. At an elevation of 2,000 meters, the luxurious Alila Jabal Akhdar awaits, offering breathtaking views and a serene escape.
Next, the adventure unfolds in the vast expanse of the Rub' al Khali desert, where the towering sand dunes create a mesmerizing landscape. Here, tents are set up amidst the tallest dunes, providing a unique camping experience that combines the thrill of the desert with the comfort of glamping.
This route promises a blend of natural beauty, luxury, and adventure, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Oman.
DAY 1 & 2
Welcome to Muscat
Your journey begins with two nights in Muscat, the capital city of Oman. Take the time to explore the city, visit its historic old town, the impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and the lively souks. Be enchanted by the cultural diversity and charm of Muscat.
DAY 3
From Muscat to Canvas Club
After breakfast, drive into the desert and reach the Canvas Club Desert Camp. Experience the authentic beauty of the Omani desert and enjoy the comfort and hospitality of this exclusive camp. Spend the night in a luxurious tent under the starry sky.
DAY 4 & 5
Mountain Adventures at
Alila Jabal Akhdar
From the desert, drive into the majestic mountains of the Al Hajar range and check into the Alila Jabal Akhdar. Enjoy two nights in this luxurious mountain resort known for its spectacular views and first-class amenities. Take the opportunity to explore the impressive nature of the surroundings and join guided hikes.
DAY 6
From Qaren Al Alam into the Desert
After breakfast, you drive from the mountains into the desert. Your desert expedition begins at the entry point of Qaren Al Alam. You drive into the Empty Quarter and start exploring this impressive desert. As you navigate through the endless sand dunes, enjoy the unique landscape and the tranquil solitude of the desert. In the evening, set up your camp and spend the first night under the star-studded sky of the Rub al Khali.
DAY 7
Desert Exploration
On the second day, you continue your journey through the vast expanse of the Rub al Khali. The endless sand dunes provide numerous photo opportunities and unique scenic impressions. Enjoy the day in the desert, taking in the majestic beauty of the surroundings. In the evening, set up your camp again and spend another night in the peaceful seclusion of the desert.
DAY 8
From the Desert to Fahud
On the final day of your journey, you traverse the remaining stretch of the Rub al Khali and reach the exit point at Fahud. You leave the desert and return to civilization, enriched by the unforgettable impressions and experiences of your desert expedition. Your journey ends in Muscat.
